Felfedezéseim / My discoveries

1. A szerelők és a festők többsége (tisztelet a kivételnek) nem ismeri a falakon általában 110 cm-es magasságban elhelyezett, egyszerű, normál, mezei villanykapcsolót. A műszak lejártával csak nem fognak nekiállni pitiáner módon egyenként kapcsolgatni a villanyokat! Mennyivel egyszerűbb odalépni a kapcsolótáblához, és gyújtásra kész Munkással a szájuk sarkában laza, kovbojos mozdulattal lekattintani a főkapcsolót. Az meg, hogy ezzel adott esetben egy fél irodaházat áramtalanítanak, ahol ugye mások is dolgoznának, vagy az, hogy a szomszéd lakást is megfosztják az áramellátástól (értsd: fűtés, meleg víz, világítás, elektromos eszközök) minden előzetes figyelmeztetés nélkül, nos, mindez már tényleg nem az ő problémájuk.
2. Vannak ezek az agresszív vadbarmok, akik úgy haladnak előre az utcán illetve a különféle közlekedési eszközök viszonylatában (pl. mozgólépcső), hogy olyan szinten lépnek az előttük békésen haladó, mit sem sejtő járókelő sarkára / nyakára, hogy az kénytelen legyen félrelépni, s akkor meg már könnyűszerrel odébb lehet taszajtani és elé kerülni. Ez azért jó, mert ezzel a módszerrel hősünk legalább egy másodperccel előbb szállhat be a metrókocsiba, ahol majd megint félrelökhet néhány nénit, minekutána nyugodtan elfoglalhat két-három ülőhelyet, és végre leülhet szétterpesztett lábakkal, kezét lazán középre ejtve, hogy alkalomadtán meg is igazíthassa az igazítanivalót, hiszen ebben nincs semmi szégyenletes, erre a csodás mutatványra nyilván a komplett metrószerelvény kíváncsi. És ami az egészben a legérdekesebb, az az, hogy ha az előttük haladó valamilyen furcsa oknál fogva egészen véletlenül mégsem hajlandó odébb lökődni, akkor ezek a vadbarmok mélységes felháborodásuknak adnak hangot, jellemzően valami elmés megjegyzéssel (pl. „hova rohansz hülye picsa”).
3. A Neo Fm jó! Miután kinyírták a Slágert és a Danubiust, sokáig dafke nem hallgattam se a Neo-t se a Class-t, mert undorító volt ez az egész frekvenciaügyi huzavona. De aztán jártomban-keltemben egyre többször tévedtem a Neo-ra, és megállapítottam, hogy teljesen jó zenét játszanak, újakat és régieket, de nem ósdi gagyit, nem technot, sok magyart (ma volt LGT!!!) és még a műsorvezetők is értelmesek.

1. Some repairmen and painters just don’t know what a normal, simple light switch is for. Obviously, they won’t waist their precious time with walking around and switching off lights one by one when their shift is over! Isn’t it so much easier to just walk over to the switch box with a cigarette ready to be lit dangling from the corner of their mouths and turn off the main switch with an elegantly cool movement, almost like some cowboy. The fact that they just de-electrified half an office building where other people still wanted to work, or that they left and neighboring apartment without any electricity (i.e. heating, hot water, light, electric devices) without any warning – all this is really not their problem.
2. There are these aggressive jerks, who like to move forward on the street and on various forms of public transportation by coming up real close behind the person walking in front of them, until they have no choice but stepping away, out of their way. From that point on it is very easy to just push the person away and get in front of them. Now this is very important, because this way they can enter the subway car one second earlier, which makes it easier for them to push away some old people getting in their way. After this they can sit down and take up two or three seats with their legs wide open, their hand lying in the middle, so they can fix any time whatever needs to be fixed there, because surely the entire crowd on the subway wants to see this beautiful performance. And what is even more interesting is that if for some weird reason the attached person does not get pushed completely away and out of his way, he is deeply outraged, and generally makes some wise comment like “where are you running you stupid bitch”.
3. Neo Fm is good! It is a fairly new radio station, in place of an old one that was banned due to some dirty political and financial reasons. Exactly because of this I didn’t listen to the new station on purpose for a while. But lately I heard it a few times, and I have to admit that I liked it. They play good music, old and new, but not techno and not too cheesy either, plus they play a lot of Hungarian music too. And even the announcers are quite normal!
